The Register of Deeds office is accountable for all marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, land deeds, deeds of trust, etc., in North Carolina. Register Nedra Moles, who is elected by the citizens of Henderson County, and her staff are responsible for keeping accurate records of such transactions.

Essential Departmental Functions: The Register of Deeds is responsible for maintaining accurate records, Deed and Deed of Trust Books, and indexing of real estate plats.
