Administration of Chapter 200A, Henderson County Land Development Code

The Planning Department, Code Enforcement Services Department, and Building Services Erosion Control Division are responsible for the administration of Chapter 200A, Henderson County Land Development Code. Each department/division is responsible for the administration of portions of the ordinance with some administration being jointly shared among the departments.

The Planning Department is responsible for the administration of:

1. Henderson County 2020 Comprehensive Plan amendments;
2. Chapter 200A Text Amendments;
3. Chapter 200A Map Amendments (Rezonings);
4. Statutory Vested Rights;
5. Subdivision Regulations; and
6. The joint administration of other miscellaneous regulations of Chapter 200A including, but not limited to, adequate public facilities regulations, landscaping standards, parking and loading standards, sign regulations, and natural resources.

The Code Enforcement Services Department is responsible for the administration of:

1. Zoning regulations;
2. Communication tower regulations;
3. Manufactured home park regulations;
4. Mountain ridge protection regulations; and
5. The joint administration of other miscellaneous regulations of Chapter 200A including, but not limited to adequate public facilities regulations, landscaping standards, parking and loading standards, sign regulations, and natural resources..

The Erosion Control Division of the Engineering Department is responsible for the administration of:

1. Erosion and sedimentation control regulations;
2. Flood damage prevention regulations;
3. Water supply watershed regulations; and
4. The joint administration of other miscellaneous regulations of Chapter 200A.
