Etowah and Horse Shoe Communities Plan
The Henderson County Planning Department and Etowah and Horse Shoe Communities Advisory Committee will hold a Public Input Meeting, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Etowah Elementary School Cafeteria (See Public Input Meeting Flyer). Please join the Etowah and Horse Shoe Advisory Committee and Henderson County Planning Staff to talk about this Draft Etowah and Horse Shoe Communities Plan and any of your concerns or recommendations. Copies of the Draft Plan are available for review at the Henderson County Library Main and Etowah Brances. Copies of the Draft Plan are available for purchase at the Henderson County Planning Department (bound copies are $15.00 and unbound copies are $10.00).
Planning Staff proposes a proven Planning Process that can generate a high-quality and useful plan using the wisdom and resources of the Etowah and Horse Shoe Communities. With the creation and implementation of this plan, the Etowah and Horse Shoe Communities can articulate and realize its vision for the next 10-15 years. Planning Staff anticipates that the Etowah and Horse Shoe Communities Plan will take approximately 18-24 months to be completed and adopted by the Board of Commissioners.
