Census 2010
The US Census Bureau has released its population count for North Carolina and its counties. Additional data will be made available in the future. Henderson County remains the second fastest growing county in western North Carolina, adding a total of 17,567 persons between 2000 and 2010 (a 19.7 percent increase). As of April 1, 2010 Henderson County had:
- 106,740 persons
- 54,710 housing units
