Welcome to the new and improved website for Henderson County's public transit service! Apple Country Transit is operated by Henderson County with support from the City of Hendersonville and Town of Fletcher. Henderson County defines routes and sets fare rates. Henderson County has contracted with Western Carolina Community Action (WCCA) to operate the Apple Country Transit System.

The purposes of Apple Country Transit are to connect Henderson County's homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, and recreation opportunities. Apple Country Transit provides freedom, access, opportunity and choice for people in all walks of life--supporting healthy and livable communities, reducing traffic congestion, and creating and sustaining jobs. Apple Country Transit and all other forms of public transportation will become an increasingly important component of Henderson County's economic and community development. 

Public transportation is the business of every citizen.
