AD HOC SUBCOMMITTEE:

Background: On Monday, November 6th, 2017, the Board of Commissioners directed the Planning Board to review the Land Development Code (LDC) and discuss residential density. This discussion came after the County received an application for a large residential subdivision in Etowah proposing approximately 299 units. The proposed development consisted of single family homes, duplex units, eight plex mulit-family buildings, a RV Park, and a number of amenities for the development. To assist the Planning Board with this task, the Planning Board Chair formed an Ad Hoc Subcommittee to review the density standards in the LDC. Below is a list of the subcommittee members and upcoming meetings.
