Ages
3-5
- Paint a "toothy" (smiling
teeth, nutritious dental foods, etc.) picture using a clean discarded
toothbrush as your paintbrush.
- Cut tooth shapes out of
white card stock or construction paper; let children draw a happy face
on them. Provide thin tempra paint, paper, and dental floss.
- Let your child hold one
end of the floss and dip the other end into the paint. Then create a
design on a piece of paper.
- Make toothpaste. In a
baggie, mix together four teaspoons of baking soda, one teaspoon salt,
one teaspoon water, and one drop of flavoring extract such as peppermint,
mint, or orange. Let your children brush their teeth using this homemade
toothpaste.
