The Patch
The patch is a birth control medicine that is applied to the skin once a week. The patch contains female hormones like the birth control pill. It is an alternative to the birth control pill for women who cannot remember to take a pill every day. It is available only by prescription. It does not prevent sexually transmitted infections.
