Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Household Hazardous Waste Events are normally held on the third Thursday at the Henderson County Convenience Center during spring and summer months. The following items are accepted: household chemicals, pesticides, and liquid paints ($2/gallon container fee; click here for approved FY 15 fee schedule). *Our facility cannot accept biohazard, reactive, or explosive materials.*
The 2014 Household Hazardous Waste Events have concluded and will resume in 2015.
All materials must be brought into the Center in original containers or packaging if applicable.
All events are from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Convenience Center located off Stoney Mountain Road at 265 Convenience Center Drive.
Liquid paint can be recycled at the event for $2.00/liquid gallon container in the form of oil, latex and acrylic based paint. Cash or check only are accepted (checks can be made out to Henderson County Solid Waste, please put HHW 2014 in subject line.)
The events are for Henderson County residents only; be prepared to show proof of residence for materials that are being disposed of at this event.

Office and entertainment-related electronics are accepted at the Henderson County Convenience Center free of charge to residents of the County during regular hours of the Convenience Center. The following items are accepted: computer equipment, televisions, stereo equipment and office equipment.
