The Henderson County Planning Department is managed by Anthony Starr, Planning Director.
Essential Departmental Functions: The purpose of the Henderson County Planning Department is to provide staff support and technical assistance to the Henderson County Board of Commissioners, Planning Board, Technical Review Committee, Transportation Advisory Committee, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Environmental Advisory Committee. Planning staff also works with and assists other County Departments, governmental agencies, public officials, and the public. The Planning Director reports directly to the Assistant County Manager.
