§ 44-1. Definitions. 
The following terms are defined for purposes of this Chapter:  
(1)
Abandoned Vehicle - A vehicle shall be determined to have been abandoned in the 
following circumstances:   
a.
It is left on public grounds or County-owned property in violation of a law or 
ordinance prohibiting parking;   
b.
It is left for longer than 24 hours on property owned by the County;   
c.
It is left for longer than 2 hours on private property without the consent of the 
owner, occupant or lessee of the property; or   
d.
It is left for longer than 7 days on public grounds.     
(2)
Junked Vehicle - An abandoned vehicle that also:   
a.
Is partially dismantled or wrecked;   
b.
Cannot be self-propelled or moved in the manner in which it originally was 
intended to move;   
c.
Is more than 5 years old and appears to be worth less than $100; or   
d.
Does not display a current license plate.     
(3)
Motor Vehicle Or Vehicle - Includes any machine designed or intended to travel over 
land or water by self-propulsion or while attached to a self-propelled vehicle.
